Ten miles of river lagoons for boating and fishing wind through the golf courses and residential sections of Palmetto Dunes. Bikes and boats can be rented for leisure activity.

The Villamare is next to the Marriott Resort and near the Hilton Oceanfront Resort. Numerous restaurants, shops, and other entertainment opportunities abound at these world class hotels.

About a mile away is Shelter Cove Harbour deep water yacht basin with waterfront shopping, dining, boat chartering and seasonal entertainment in a very scenic setting.

The enclosed Mall at Shelter Cove is a five minute drive from Villamare. In addition to the stores and shops there are family entertainment events in the evenings all summer long. Adjacent to the Mall is the Plaza at Shelter Cove with additional stores and a Piggly Wiggly supermarket.
